I had the following done professionally(have receipts):
Adjusted valves
Rebuilt the carburetor
Replaced the fuel pump
Installed electronic ignition
Why, why would anyone pay to have any of these things done? If you own a classic VW anything, please take the time to learn this stuff (besides most mechanics dont have a clue these days)

I can understand the electronic ignition and the rebuilt carb, but valve adjustements on a bug like that are craaazzy easy

yeah the valves take something like 15 minutes tops if you dont know what you are doing. Fuel pump is even easier!

You need to go and test drive this and report back.

wait, Mungas are front-engined. This is rear engined. The seller claims 3cyl 2 stroke. The engine is a 4cl 4 stroke VW engine.

Nope. Nope nope nope.
The fuel pump yes, anyone. But the valves...I get anxious anytime I get near a valve cover for fear I'll do some harm the results in a repair bill higher than the value of the car.

Valve adjustments - on a 3 cylinder, 2-stroke motor? I'm afraid that bug engine experience might not be terribly helpful on this one. And make sure you have some kind of emissions exemption wherever it's registered; I doubt any two-stroke engine can meet any state's exhaust test...

This ain't no Munga, as far as I can tell. It's a VW Bug with a Munga body. The seller has got to be wrong on the 2 stroke 3 cyl. That's a Bug motor in the back if I ever saw one.

Could very well be. It isn't well shown in the pics, but you're right: The more I look at it, the more it looks like a bug motor. Strange that the seller - even in the text - claims it's a 3 cylinder 2-stroke.
A collection of cars that were originally equipped with 2-stroke engines would be a worth endeavor.
